Idiom Fun!
As we create our idiom flipbooks this week, take the time to list your favorite saying or expression here! Define an idiom and use it correctly in a short (but creative) paragraph. Use at least 4 descriptive adjectives to make your writing more interesting. Be sure to proofread you writing before you post! Keep up your fourth quarter effort - extra credit will be awarded for multiple entries!

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Definition: When you get an unexpected gift or chance, don't ask questions about it. Just be happy for what you have.
Story:
Last Tuesday, pupils in Mrs. Perry's wonderful reading classsigned up to do presentations on Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday afternoon, right before students went home, Mrs. Perry gave them a half sheet of paper with a revised schedule on it. Students were not going to even start presentations till Friday! When Tori came up and asked, "Mrs. Perry, is this really true? Do I really get the weekend to practice?" Mrs. Perry said, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!"

story-We were at my dad's apartment when we saw a guy working on the pool.My dadstarted wondr=ering whenhe would get the pool passes.Thenwe saw the activities director,we asked her when the pool passes would come out. She didn't know,so my dad just told me,"Let's play ir by ear".

People often think something is always better than what they have.
The Edge family wanted to treat themselves to dinner tonighnt. Kendall and Andrew got kids' hamburgers. Mr.Edcge got a big juicy steak while Mrs.Edge ordered a chicken salad. When the food came Mrs.Edge was green with envy as she watced her husband chew that juicy steak. "what's wrong mom?" asked Andrew."oh nothing," she replied."I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence."
Yikes, where did the time go? Each week we got bumped from the computer lab.... sigh.
Well... everyone's Idiom Flipbooks turned out stupendously well! I am very proud of everyone's efforts to turn in a polished final draft.
